‘Widening our gaze’ is the title of the next reflection session organised by the Catholic Women’s Taskforce of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn on Saturday 6 November from 3.00-4:30pm

The session, which will use art, poetry, music and conversation, recognises that the pandemic, like any crisis, can be an opportunity for reflection and for renewal.

The interactive 90-minute reflection is open to women of faith from the Archdiocese and beyond. The title and key themes are inspired by Pope Francis’ recent book called ‘Let Us Dream’.

Chair of the Taskforce, Andrea Dean, has been coordinating these sessions in an attempt to deal with some of the isolation of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“We have conducted two reflection sessions and a lecture using Zoom in the past two years, which has meant that we are providing spiritual and personal formation for women despite not being able to meet face to face”, she said.

“The sessions have been popular and women from across Australia participate”, she said.

The event is free however registration is essential.
